AP Inquiry
Film and Photography are two of my greatest passions. Below is a step by step process of how my works are created, from start to finish. Due to my mediums of choice, I am often challenged with time constraints from both my academic and personal life, sometimes making it hard to deliver quickly. My three to four step process allows me to efficiently create works to my utmost ability.
Write & Storyboard
I begin the process by storyboarding my films shot by shot, so once pen reaches paper I can then visually see what "works" and what does not. Sometimes extra shots will be added in post, and depending on the project a written dialogue script will also be written and provided to actors.
Shoot
I then begin to shoot my projects. They could vary to my bedroom or the middle of a field. Depending on the project I will sometimes bring in actors or models to help participate and further my vision. I usually will be behind the camera (a Sonya600), but sometimes I appear as an actress or model in my own work.
Edit
Once shooting is finished, I import all of my footage to edit (Adobe Premiere is my favored program of use). Following my scripts I will piece each shot together, color grading them, adding music etc. Some projects take a few hours to edit, others I've had take days. Once I finish editing, I export the project for viewing.
