Devereaux

Inspired by the sex workers from Blade Runner 2049, the Deverauxs (de-ver-ohs) are women who walk the streets at night in my mind. Glowing in a holographic in white light, the Deverauxs are my symbol for an individual coming to terms with their own sexuality with maturity, how digitalized and unsafe it could potentially become. The name was inspired by Blanche Deveraux, one of the main characters from the 1980s hit sitcom the Golden Girls. Blanche was a symbol of how a woman could be free within her own sexuality, while still emitting beauty beyond compare, so therefore, it seemed fitting to dub this project "Deveraux".
